Futur Safety Razor Gold

After reading a few reviews all over the web I was sceptical however it arrived fast and looks absolutely beautiful. Shaves thick beard growth (I have very coarse hair) easily and setting 6 is no problem as long as you take your time and lather up properly.

Customer service with this was also spot on. I had an issue ordering and had a response within an hour. Don't debate buy the razor. German engineering and quality at it's finest.

I bought one of these, and given some reviews by Americans, who spoke of blood loss, and such like, I was beginning to wonder if I’d done the right thing!

Anyway the Merkur futur arrived, and I had a few practise runs, of taking the top, what fantastic simplicity. Anyway I loaded it up with a Derby Extra blade, set it on two, lathered up with Kent shaving foam, and thereafter proceeded to shave with this precision German instrument. Three days of strong beard growth mowed down into a smooth sac Babis arse finish. Forget Fatboy, variants, slims, Ts, feathers, and the bs, this razor is all you will ever need. No wonder it’s the most cloned adjustable razor, in shaving history.

So the Merkur Futur takes the gold for me, and that’s from nearly a half century of de shaving.

Try as you may , this is a Superior shaving machine that I'm not letting go of ,I think my wife is jealous for the love and passion i have for this new lady that shaves me so well . She must understand its all for her .

In the past when people spoke of a high class product, particularly in relation to British Standard (which has declined rapidly due to increased regulations, cost increases, unionists and Environmental Loonatics who insist on using cheap and lightweight materials), they were refering to items that were well engineered with the finest materials. In fact when you merely held this item in your hand you immediately knew that the cost was going to be greater than similar more mainstream products, due to the high quality finish. In this particular case, this German manufactured Razor, is absolutely perfect and represents a standard that other more mainstream blade manufacturers should be striving towards achieving. Razor is very heavy, however the weight adds a comfort factor whilst shaving. The blade insertion is not a screw head system as the item description describes, but rather a very crafty clip on lid, which is removed so that the blade can be inserted. This Razor provides the closest shave possible and lets the user adjust the exposure of the blade from 6 levels by turning the blade handle, which in itseld is a very smooth process. I would go as far as saying that at its highest exposure level of 6, the shave quality is just as good, if not better than a straight razor. Just looking as the product alone from different angles shows the amount of attention to detail and strenuous efffort that has gone in to create such an engineering materpiece. I would recommend this product for the discerning gentleman who pays great attention to his grooming methods and appearance, but does not consider money an obstacle when purchasing a high class product such as this.
